Good governance and economic development are inextricably linked. Unless we address and improve governance, we cannot foster sustainable development. Governance, which can take on many forms and institutional arrangements depending on cultural and historical factors, is by necessity, a broad concept. Good governance is then the capacity to rule through the commitment to the public good, the rule of law, with fiscal constraint and a high degree of transparency and accountability.
To address the number of issues that go into effective public policy decision making and good governance, IP3 provides a suite of classroom and online courses. Key training areas addressed in our Public Policy and Governance courses include:
