The Institute for Public-Private Partnerships (IP3), established in 1994, is a leading training provider and advisor to governments, financial institutions and public services providers in the growing international infrastructure marketplace. IP3 assists public sector clients build enabling environments for Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), prepare and tender PPP projects, develop monitoring and enforcement capacity through effective infrastructure regulatory institutions, commercialize or corporatize public service providers, and introduce good governance and accountability standards across government services. In 2008, IP3 was acquired by Tetra Tech, Inc, a leading infrastructure services and engineering firm.
Since its beginning, IP3 has trained over 35,000 officials in the areas of finance, economics, law, policy, regulation, and management from such infrastructure sectors as energy, transportation, water, telecommunications, environmental management, and municipal services.
Training delivery includes classroom courses offered in our Training Center in Washington, DC, a suite of online courses, and client-driven onsite/customized courses. Our training is highly rated, with over 99% of our participants stating they would recommend IP3 to a colleague. In 2003, we introduced, in cooperation with the Water, Engineering and Development Centre of Loughborough University in the United Kingdom, three intensive and ground-breaking professional certification programs in PPPs, regulation, and utility management. In 2012, IP3 introduced a Certified Project Finance Specialist™ Certification Program to provide a core body of knowledge in Project Finance.
